CSR Information Disclosure of Chinese Enterprises Going Abroad


On December 1, 2016, China WTO Tribune together with China Business Council for Sustainable Development organized The 9th International Conference on CSR Reporting in Shanghai. The EMM network, China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals &Chemicals Importers &Exporters (CCCMC) and China WTO Tribune co-hosted the CSR Information Disclosure of Chinese Enterprises Going Abroad panel as an important part of the conference. The panel aims to encourage Chinese enterprises to strengthen the overseas information disclosure and communication, avoid the difficulties during the process of investment, improve their overseas brand image and further enhance their responsibility competitiveness, which is also a significant goal of Sustainable Mining Action Plan (SMAP).

Introduction of Sustainable Mining Action Plan (SMAP), SDGs and Overseas Communication, How to Communicate with Overseas Stakeholders and the Releasing of SDG Reporting Guidelines, Overseas Information Disclosure Along the Belt and Road and Overseas Information Disclosure Along the Belt and Road were presented in the panel. Mr. Sun Lihui, director of Development Department of CCCMC, introduced the background, guidelines and a corresponding three-year implementation plan of SMAP in his remarks. The participants from mining companies, international organizations and NGOs expressed their commendation for the programme and interested to be informed the future development.
